NYC 2

We stopped for breakfast at this little shop next to our hotel.
It is family owned and they have a great menu!
It was quick and easy on our way to the city.
We also bought our bus tickets there--
just a 7 minute ride from New Jersey
 to the middle of Manhattan!
We walked to the Empire State Building
early Saturday morning.
 Can you find Dan?
What a gorgeous view of NYC!
 We loved the subway.
So easy to get around and Dan was
really good at navigating where to go.

 We strolled the Brooklyn Bridge.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was
going to Chinatown with Dan.

I ate something that was made of beef and vegetables.
Other than that, I am not quite sure what it was.
I only had a few bites.
I was being a chicken.

These women were so surprised that Dan could speak Chinese.
I love the expressions on their faces.
We definitely got our fill of Chinese food.
We rode the Staten Island Ferry to take a little break.
We got to see the Statue of Liberty too!

  West Village

 The High Line
We grabbed a pretzel before seeing
Cirque Du Soleil - Zarkana.
Boy, were we lucky to see this show!
We were surprised by a very generous person
with front row tickets to see
Zarkana in Radio City Music Hall.
It was amazing!!

We ended the night at Shake Shack.
Yes, it was good.
We had to try it since we have heard
so much about it from friends.
I would definitely go back there.

NYC 1

We took a weekend trip to NYC for our anniversary.
We had talked about going for so long,
so we finally decided to just go for it!
We really had so much fun.
We tried to see as much as we could while
we were there, and we soaked up every second.
Here are pictures of our first day.
The airplane ride...
Our bus stop at Port Authority Bus Terminal
(somehow 3 stories up).
The view from our hotel room
(we stayed on the Jersey side of the Hudson).
We started our first day in Manhattan near Time Square.

 M&M World.  ...My world.
Hershey's Store -- "Danny like."
Bryant Park, with the NY public library in the background.

NYC Public Library

 Grand Central Station
Max Brenner Chocolate Restaurant for lunch.
Seriously, the best milkshake ever made.
 The Butterscotch Chocolate Creme Shake.
There are no words to adequately portray ...it.
 Financial District

 9/11 Memorial

 Rock Center
 Banana Pudding from Magnolia Bakery.
To. Die. For.
We were so lucky to get last minute "student rush"
 tickets to see Wicked!

It was a dream come true.
They were half-price and we sat in the orchestra section.
We really lucked out!
I have been wanting to see this musical since high school
(seven years) and I have memorized all the music.
It was absolutely incredible, and I loved every second.
Danny even liked the musical too!
Stay tuned for day two.

(Dan added some lines to this post).
