Garden Update

Our garden is growing in nicely.
Despite the heat, they are very strong and healthy!

These hydrangeas are in our front yard.
We did not plant these ourselves.
This year they seem to be more vibrant than others.

Planting and tending to plants is one of
the most gratifying activities.
We love seeing their progress and caring for them.

Special Smiles

We got to volunteer at Ohio's Special Olympics this year.
Dan did dental screenings, and I was his assistant.
We got to meet some incredible athletes!
We also got to know some of Ohio State's dental students,
professors, and some local dentists.
We will definitely be there next year!
Our tent was set up in "Tent Town" near all of the
other "Healthy Athlete" tents.
This was taken on our lunch break.
These clowns helped recruit athletes to come get a screening.
I believe a few of these guys are dentists!
They were the life of Tent Town.

 Taking a break.
I love Danny's hair in this picture.
All the students from Case who participated.
After spending the morning at Ohio State University,
we headed over to the Columbus temple for
the rest of the afternoon.
Oh, how I love this sacred place.
There is no where I would rather be on a Saturday afternoon
than inside those walls.
No place on earth is as peaceful as the temple.
I feel so close to God there.
I am so grateful Dan and I can go every month and serve.

Marine Week

Marine Week in Cleveland was last week.
We visited downtown to honor our heroes and
learn more about what they do for us.
I am so grateful for their sacrifice.
The quality of the pictures are poor, I know.
We usually just use our phones since
it's usually all we have with us.
I am just happy to document, regardless.

Isn't Cleveland awesome?
We love it here.

My Dad and me at 5 o'clock in the morning
before deep sea fishing.
Happy Father's Day!!
We love you.

The Weekend

Sergio's for our dinner date.

Our garden is still going strong!
The lettuce is from our neighbor.

 My favorite snack lately.
Dan on his way to play ball.
It is beginning to feel like summer around here.
We are loving every minute of it.
