The Spirit of Christ

"We all can make the choice to give thanks
in prayer and to ask God for direction to
serve others for Him-especially during
this time of year when we celebrate
the Savior's birth."

A Gift For You

Yes, I have neglected my blog for over a month.
Here we are in mid December already!
Wow. I really cannot believe it.
The Christmas shopping is done,
Dan is studying for the NBDE,
and we get to see family very soon!
I have been particularly homesick this year.
I really cannot wait to be with family.
Here are a few photos from our Holiday festivities.
A special thanks to Instagram for the fun photos.
I love Christmas!
My favorite part of Christmas is celebrating
the birth and life of Jesus Christ.
I received a very special gift this year.
This gift shares the beautiful message of
the Savior's birth, His life, and ministry.
I would love to share it with you.

Phone Pictures

We dressed up for our church's Halloween party.
I love Danny's face.
Fall is beautiful here.
I love the crisp air and colorful trees.
This is one of the many lovely trees that
have turned here in Little Italy.
We got to go to the Columbus Temple on Saturday.
Why do Mormons build temples?

The Help

About a month ago, I finished reading The Help.
It is definitely in my top ten favorite books.
Then I went and saw the movie...
and I want to watch it again and again!
If you have not yet read it, or are resisting to be
apart of the craze... give up.
Read it.
Go see the movie.
It is worth it.

Circus

Here we are at the Circus last weekend.
"Circus" might be the best word to describe October for us.
Unfortunately, my camera, with all of our October
pictures, has died. I am not able to get the photos.
It is very sad. Some of the pictures were when
we went to an apple orchard to pick apples,
a free Goo Goo Dolls concert,
a BBQ with friends, and an Indians baseball game.
We also participated in a Day of Service with our church.
Luckily, Dan has his camera so we will be able
to take pictures of Halloween next weekend!
Stay tuned.

A Prophet Speaks Today

The Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Did you know that God has a Prophet on earth today?
You can listen to the Prophet and Apostles too.
Listen to them testify of Jesus Christ
and His restored Gospel on the earth today!
Find out what I believe and what brings me joy.
Find out what Mormons believe.

Free Events

Among the many things that are
keeping us busy these days,
we are always looking for something fun to do.
Thanks to Cleveland there is always
something fun & free to do!
We went to the Ingenuity Fest last weekend.
It took place inside this bridge. Yup...inside!
There were all kinds of artists and inventors there.
Dan liked these switchboards that played
different beats when you flipped a switch.
We are on the far right side.
Dan is waving and I am taking a picture.
We sat in these awesome chairs made from
junk yard pieces.
We tried to get a picture of the cool lights in the bridge.
We also stopped by the Chalk Festival.
It was so beautiful!
There were so many different artists and families
drawing all over the sidewalk.
So many talented people where we live!
Dan's favorite... The Walrus.
The Chalk Festival took place just
outside the Art Museum.
It was a beautiful Fall day.
Look at the trees and lake behind me.
I love this time of year!
We are so blessed to live in this beautiful place
where it seems like almost everyone
appreciates the arts in some way.
We love it.

Shout Out

I bought my first pair of Nike Free
running shoes five years ago.
This is what my second pair looks like.
I would not run in any other shoe.
I love them.
Thank you Nike.

Fall

All I can think about is Fall.
It is my favorite time of year.
We are looking forward to apple picking,
carving pumpkins, long walks,
and eating lots of pumpkin bread.
Happy Fall Ya'll!

Mr. & Mrs. Hepworth

Dan's best friend, Jared, was married last week.
We were able to fly out and be there for it all.
It was so much fun to see Dan with
all of his college buddies and childhood friends.
It was especially fun to hear them reminisce and tell
hilarious stories from the past.
We arrived and Dan headed to the bachelor party.
They ate at Tucano's Brazilian Grill and then
headed to the batting cages.
The man of the hour.
We got to go to the Mt. Timpanogos temple
and see them sealed for time and eternity.
It was a beautiful ceremony with such a sweet spirit.
They look so happy!
We went to the luncheon and then spent some
time at the Hepworth's home.
This picture cracks me up!
The PQ boys.
At the reception.
BYU freshman year room mates.
Both in their second year of dental school.
We planned on eating a lot of good food in Utah.
My favorite restaurant is there.
We started at Kneaders and then....
CAFE RIO!!
I know, I am obsessed. I love it.
It is my favorite place to eat in the world.
I am not exaggerating.
I have been tirelessly reminding them
that they need to open one in Ohio.
It was so much fun to be with friends
and celebrate Jared and Megan's wedding.
It was very strange walking around
BYU and not being a student.
So many fond memories!
Congratulations Jared and Megan!
What a beautiful couple.
