We have arrived!

Our place is darling here in "Little Italy".

We live across the street from the dental school!

Yes we are!

Don't we all wish it could be THAT easy!

Ideally, you could just pick up your house

and move it to your new location.

Despite the long hours of packing and cleaning...

we have been having a lot of fun!

We've been listening to

Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass on Pandora Radio.

We've been taking short breaks at the pool,

and we've been getting creative with the last of our food.

We are very excited to see what Cleveland has in store.

We are also going to miss the friendships we made here as well as

the beautiful City of Westminster.

The Final Countdown

Today is Dan's last day working as a

Pest Control Salesman.

We are having all our friends over for

dinner & dessert tonight.

I guess it is kind of a...

going away,

happy to be done working,

& ready to move on,

kind of party :)

I have two Crock-Pots

cooking the chili and lots of cornbread to bake!

YUMMM!

I am also surprising Dan with some of his favorite

flavors of Ice-Cream.

We have planned out the next couple of days for

moving and cleaning.

We have also planned in a couple fun activities

we have wanted to do here in Colorado.

The End

Tomorrow is my last day as a nanny with these cute ones:

Dan's last day of work is on Saturday.

I cannot believe how fast this summer has gone by!

We pack, clean, & we're on the road again!

I just made a reservation at a hotel in

Des Moines, Iowa.. okay... weird!

This is all actually happening!

We will stay there overnight when we travel to

Cleveland, Ohio.

Things I am looking forward to on the road:

(in no particular order)

1. Books on tape.

2. Seeing parts of America I have never seen before.

3. Laughing until we are silly.

4. Relaxing at our hotel in Iowa.

5. Summer storms in the Mid-West.

6. Playing road games in the moving truck to stay alert.

7. Finding some new/fun place to eat at.

8. Good music of course.

9. Seeing Matt & Taylor Hall the night we get there.

10. Arriving in Cleveland to see my new home for the next 4 years!!

Visitors

We got to see Inception last weekend.

Yes, it is as good as they say it is!

We ate at "Tuk Tuk Thai" before the movie.

We love Thai food!

We got to take care of this darling dog all weekend.

Meet my cousin's pup Kayla:

She is a very pleasant and low-maintenance animal.

We loved having her around.

Do we think we might want a golden retriever?

Aunt Chris is visiting in Colorado for a girls trip.

We got to go out to dinner together

before her festivities began.

I already miss her.

Summer

We had an interesting 4th of July...

I think everyone I know did.

It was overcast in San Clemente and storming here in Colorado.

We sure made the best of it!

We had Pulled Pork Sandwiches at our place along with

games, games, and more games!

We watched the Fireworks in the pouring rain along with

a lightening show and thunder!!

We ended the night

lighting fireworks off in the rain with everyone!

It sure was a different 4th for everyone

but we did have so much fun!

We recently had a little date night and went to

the only Cafe Rio in Colorado!

It was a little bit of a drive

and we may have gotten lost but it was totally worth it!

We then headed over to Denver's Downtown Aquarium:

We move to Ohio in 2 weeks!!

Can't believe it!

Victory!

I love when I get to that point in my run where

I feel like I have to stop or I might keel over and die...

when a biker rides by and sings out a joyful,

"Good Morning!!"

I feel like I can run another mile!

It makes the finish line feel like this...

with all your friends and family cheering you on!

I may have had one of those mornings :)
