Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so much fun this year!
The food was amazing and the company was even better.
Dan made this beautiful pear and pecan pie.

It not only looked good, but it tasted really good!
I love making rolls.
I found a really great recipe that I use exclusively now.

They are so delicious!
We dined with the Woody family and the missionaries this year.
Shannon is an incredible host and cook.
We spent hours at the table eating and enjoying conversation.
We shared the things we are thankful for.
Then we read Jack Handy quotes and laughed our heads off.
I love this picture of Shannon!
I have never seen her laugh this hard.
It was so much fun!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

The Bus

These pictures are not the best, but I had to document!

Our car was in the shop for about two weeks.
We took the bus all around town!
It was an adventure to say the least.
Between doctor appointments, grocery shopping,
movies, and church, we got to know the Cleveland
bus system pretty well.
Thanks to the sweet friends who helped me get to work!
It was a very memorable few weeks.

Halloween

We went to a Halloween party at our church.
Good times with friends!
How cute are our friends' costumes!?
Love it.
We had to get a picture with that cute elephant, too!

It is looking like Fall around here.
The colors are magnificent!
Our porch was decorated by my parents
when they were here to visit.
I also made these festive Halloween cupcakes with supplies
sent from the Hall family!
Too much fun!
Happy Halloween!!

California Visitors

My parents came out for their annual visit to Cleveland.
We always have the best time with them.
Since they flew out on their wedding anniversary,
we celebrated with them and had all the siblings send love notes!
We also surprised them with the news that...
we are going to be parents!!
They were so excited, of course!
Another grandbaby!
We ate out in Little Italy just down the street to celebrate.
My Mom is just adorable.
We walked to the Art Museum and looked/shopped around.
When we got back, I was exhausted and nauseous.
She let me take a nap while her and Dad went out for another walk.
They love their walks.
We went to Patterson's Fruit Farm for their delicious
baked goods, stunning Fall scenery, pumpkins,
and apple picking!

They spoiled us with more delicious meals. Seriously.
You can't come to Cleveland without
stopping at The West Side Market.

We hiked in the Cleveland Metroparks, too!

Those two!
I love spending time with them.
I LOVE when they come to visit and spend
time with me and Dan.
It is the highlight of the year!!

Ball Game

We have the best friends in Cleveland!

I love a good summer ball game!

4

We have been married for four years!!
We celebrated at Gamekeeper's in Chagrin Falls.
Look at that happy man!
I love Dan.
My favorite person on the planet.

Ballet

I love a good ballet class.
I went to class consistently this summer
and learned how out of shape I am and
remembered how much I love dance.
We got to see the Joffrey Ballet perform
with The Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center
(thanks to a generous friend).

 This venue is breathtaking.
Of course the performances were amazing!
One of the highlights of my summer.

Summer Camping

We ventured out to Geneva-on-the-Lake to camp.
The site was beautiful and quiet.
It was within walking distance to the lake,
so we spent some time in the sun on the beach.
I am so sad that this is the only picture we have!
Somehow, we lost all the pictures we took.
I wish I could find them.
Maybe they will show up soon.
Camping with Dan is always a good time!

The Lion King

We both arrived back in Cleveland after our separate trips.
Dan surprised me and took me to see
The Lion King Broadway show!
It is always the best to be reunited with the one you love,
even after only a few days.
I sure did miss him!

AZ

I got to visit Taylor while Dan was in Colorado.
I loved this trip!
Arizona was beautiful, and I loved the company!
Tay & Spencer have the cutest family.
I cannot get enough of my sweet nephew, Bradford.
Look at him! He is adorable.
We ate a lot of good food in AZ.
One of my favorites was Joe's Real BBQ.

We visited the Gilbert temple site.
You can view the inside of this temple here.
We also got to visit the Mesa temple which is older
and very unique looking.
I love it.
Our last night together was spent at Grimaldi's Pizza.
It was so much fun to spend time with everyone.
I sure do admire Taylor and Spencer.
Tay made it through her chemo treatments, and
Spencer is an incredible husband.
They keep on smiling.
I love you guys!

Four-Pass Loop

Dan had the opportunity to travel to Colorado this summer
and hike the Four-Pass Loop near Aspen.
He hiked for five days with his brothers and dad.
What a trip!
He stayed at his brother's home before heading out.
Dan got to see his adorable nephew and eat some
of Taylor's delicious food before the trek!

It begins...

Dad brought portable, all-terrain bocce ball.

On a peak, mountain goats started stalking Dan.
I am so glad he survived these scary-looking goats
and the even more scary terrain!

Dan returned wide-eyed and exhausted, but with stories to tell.
Thanks to Matt for the adventure!
