Our Garden

We planted our first garden this year!
We started out with a Seed Starter Kit.
About a month later, we had sprouts!
We transferred them into our pots and garden boxes.
We watered, waited, watered, and waited some more.
We were unsuccessful with some plants
but extremely successful with others.
Now, a little over two months later,
we picked our first zucchini and ate it!!
So fresh and so delicious!!
Look at those squash plants!
Green and healthy!!
My Dad wanted to feature the zucchini
before we harvested it. :)
We are so proud of our little garden!
We have so many cucumbers growing,
zucchini, yellow squash, pumpkins,
tomatoes, cilantro, onions, carrots, peas,
bell peppers, and jalapenos!
I am so excited to make fresh salsa!
We will keep you updated on our harvest!

Summer Visitors

My parents came into town to visit!
It was so much fun showing them what
we have been up to in Ohio!
They were here for an entire week and
it went by way too fast.
They both really enjoyed the area.
Of course we made it to the West Side Market.
Dan gave my parents a tour of the dental school.
We dined in Little Italy.
Walked on the beaches of Lake Erie.
We headed down to Amish Country and also
visited the Smucker's headquarters.
We toured the historical Lakeview Cemetery.
My Dad and Dan worked so hard to find
a decent used bike.
This is a beauty!
Dan is so excited about it!
We ate way too much good food,
visited all kinds of museums,
and relaxed on our porch in the nice weather.
Thank you Mom & Dad!
We already miss you!

4th of July

We spent our 4th of July with our close friends.
We ate great food all day, played ladder ball,
and watched fireworks downtown!
I love Independence Day celebrations!
They never get old.
I love having good friends in Ohio
to celebrate holidays with.
P.S. This is my 100th post as a blogger! Hooray!!

Performance Night

This weekend was so much fun!
We had our first two performances for
All of the hard work has paid off!
The show is beautiful.
Here we are in our 1830's period clothing.
We play a married couple in the play,
which is very fun!
This is our stage daughter, Emma.
She is so darn cute, and we have loved
getting to know her.
Last night was the best night so far!
I was a happy dancer!
Two more weekends of performances left!
Come and see!
