Dan has been playing Dodgeball since his
Freshman year in college...
EVERY WEEK!
He organized Dodgeball
every Wednesday
here in Denver.
He lives for this!

I am sure we will be playing Dodgeball in Ohio.

Pearl Street

We love Pearl Street in Boulder.

This place has got it all!
We loved the atmosphere!
Especially the summer weather.
We spent our night:
watching people dance to awesome bands,
participating in and watching street theater,
eating Pizookies,
and enjoying the sweet summer weather.

The Mood Board

I have been working on this little project.

It is helping me narrow down my interests in home decor.
I love so many different styles.
I feel a little cluttered when I think about decorating because
I like one style but a couple days later I love something else!
I was looking through some interior design books at Barnes & Noble one day...
a lot of these designers were giving tips on how to narrow down
style, color palettes, and textures.
A tip they gave was to create a "Mood Board".
I decided to give it a try.
I have collected:
pictures from magazines,
designs off the Internet,
and am now looking for fabrics that stand out with interesting textures.
I also like collecting things that just inspire me.
What I love about this is...
that if you put something up one day,
stare at it for a couple days,
and then realize you don't like it,
you just take it off the board and set it aside.
It is a continuing process that has helped me put together my
ideas and interests in interior design.
These are pictures I took right after I put up all my first ideas & inspiration!





Finding a common theme?
I am still finding things to put up on my board and take down.
I also love that I am not spending money yet.
I am really narrowing it down so I can make smart purchasing decisions
and keep my eyes open for good deals!
It is really fun and my mind feels more clear everyday!

Rollin' on the River

On Thursday, I was surprised to find these beautiful flowers on my doorstep.

Dan had these sent to me at home after he went to work for the day.
Thursday was the day we were engaged.
One whole year ago!
I cannot believe we are reaching our one year mark!

So this weekend we went White Water Rafting!!
We went with Dan's sales team and had way too much fun!

Later that night we had everyone over for
ice-cream,
cookies, and
Tim Burton's:
Alice in Wonderland.


It was really fun for Dan (and the team)
to take a break from work and do something adventurous.
I loved it because I got to spend more time with Dan this week!
We got to eat Sunday dinner at Uncle Marc's house
and visit with cousins!
We also made this tasty dessert!
It was something new to try.
They are simple
and delicious!

I am still trying to decide:
whether or not I enjoyed Alice in Wonderland,
and if I need stitches in my thumb...

We Love Colorado!

On our way to downtown Denver:
Spotted this baby among all the skyscrapers...
and we DID stop to eat! YUM!!

We went to see Iron Man 2.
The theater was in this cool outdoor mall!
Dan really enjoys walking around malls :)

Colorado has a lot of very cool trails to walk/run/bike on.
We do this on Sunday when the weather is nice.
It is beautiful here!!
