Halloween

I loved Dan's costume this year.

We had a lot of fun with our church at the
annual "Trunk-or-Treat".

I had never dressed up as a witch for Halloween until this year!
For work, all of us recreation therapists dressed up as
the characters from the game "Clue!"
I was Mrs. Peacock.
You can't tell in this picture but I had peacock feathers in my hair.
Love all those ladies!

These are two of the nurses on the unit.
They were Jeff Dunham's puppets.
One of the patients on the unit loves Jeff Dunham.
They really freaked me out!
Those cute pumpkins were decorated by the patients.

Our three little pumpkins we carved this year...
...they made it through the wind and rain of Hurricane Sandy.
Man, was that crazy!
We were so lucky to have power and heat.
A lot of our neighbors and friends were
without power for 2-5 days!
While what we went through does not compare
to those impacted on the east coast,
it certainly was eye-opening and motivated us
to prepare better for this kind of situation.

Haunted Forest

We went to a haunted forest with our friends in October.
I love this series of pictures we took as we were leaving.
I was obviously happy to be out of the forest,
and Dan was still recovering. Ha!

Fall in Ohio

We love the Fall in Ohio!

Cedar Point

We went to Cedar Point for the first time a few weeks ago.
It was amazing!
If you love roller coasters, you must go.
We had a blast!
We went with our friends who are in Medical School
at CWRU, and the park had a special day for the students.
We got discounted tickets and free lunch.
Oh, and we had great company!
The boys are standing in front of this sign that said,
"Welcome Case Western Reserve University Students!"
This coaster is called "Top Thrill Dragster".
It takes you from 0 to 120 mph in less than 4 seconds.
You are shot 420 feet straight up in the air
and then straight back down.
The ride lasts a total of about 17 seconds.
It blew my mind.
Yup, I wore a fanny pack for the day.
I always give Dan such a hard time about this thing,
but that day it just seemed SO practical... and it was!
Our fast passes came in handy!
Our longest wait was about 30 minutes.
It was so nice we did not have to wait in line for hours.
They were totally worth it!

It was SO cold that day.
I wish we would have dressed warmer.
Cedar Point is literally on the lake and the wind was so cold.
We ended the day with a warm churro and hot chocolate. Yum!

Thanks Cody and Megan for a great day at the park!
