Merry Christmas!

On Christmas Eve we took a stroll down

to the beach with some of my family.

It was a gorgeous day!

We made it home for Christmas Eve dinner.. Yumm!

Christmas morning is so much more fun with

younger kids around!

They were so much fun to watch when

they opened their presents.

We ate a delicious Christmas breakfast.

We also played "Minute-To-Win-It" games that night.

The girls won!

There is nothing better than Christmas with family!

Deck the Halls

I cannot believe we didn't take pictures of the

Annual Neighborhood Christmas Sing-a-long!

It was so much fun to sing carols with all the neighbors.

I look forward to that every year!

We did get pictures of everyone eating...

...playing cards...

...working on puzzles...

...and cleaning and playing with dogs.

Because of the enormous storm in California

over the break, it flooded the PQ canyon.

We took a hike in the mud and rain

to see the little stream that had turned into

river rapids!

We also took Hall family pictures,

watched movies, and went caroling.

I love the Holidays!

California

We made it to California for the Holidays!

The first day we got here we went

to the San Diego temple with Pam and Chrissy.

We spent the week at the Hall's

making and eating great food, relaxing, and visiting

some of San Diego's historic museums and beaches.

La Jolla Cove.

The Air and Space Museum in Balboa Park.

We went to SC for a few days.

We babysat the little ones, ate more good food,

Dan had to study a bit, and I spent time with my mom.

I love making these cinnamon trees with my mom.

Week one in California was absolutely wonderful!

Despite the enormous amounts of water falling from the sky,

we have enjoyed every second of spending time with our families.

Winter Wonderland

The "lake effect" was in full swing this week.

For those of you who do not know what this means,

Wikipedia has provided us with a general definition:

Lake-effect snow

is produced in cooler atmospheric conditions

when cold winds move across

long expanses of warmer lake water,

providing energy and picking up water vapor

which freezes and is deposited on the leeward shores.

The snow was not really this deep...

...but Dan sure did trick me!

We had been stuck inside all day long.

We had to get out and

take some pictures of the madness.

Today, the roads were pretty clear but we

are expecting more snow tomorrow!!
