Garden

We planted a smaller garden this year.
We planted a tomato, baby bell pepper, jalapeno,
and basil plant, as well as raspberries and strawberries.
With all of the rain we have yet to water our plants ourselves.
It has been easy to maintain the garden this year so far.
Can't wait to reap what we have sown!

Kidney Walk 2013

I had the opportunity to coordinate a team for the Kidney Walk!
This is an annual event that my patients at the
children's hospital participate in.
We raised over $1500 that went
to the National Kidney Foundation.
The kids were very helpful as we created cookies and holiday cards
to sell and advertised for other fundraisers.
It was a very well-planned and enjoyable event.
It was especially fun to spend time with my patients and
their families outside of the dialysis unit.
We had a contest among our patients to design
our Kidney Walk team t-shirts.
Our tees pictured above were created by one of my patients.
On the back it says "Be a Donor" with two pink kidneys.
I love the "super kidney" on the front of the tee.
What a fun event to help coordinate!
Go Team Kidney Kids!

Church History

One of our favorite things about living in Ohio is being able
to visit all of the church history sites.
In this picture we are at the John Johnson Home
where Joseph Smith lived and worked while trying to escape
persecution in the early days of the church.
This area is so rich in the history of the church.
Go visit and learn!
All of the sites are free and open to the public.
