Girl's Camp

I am the Girl's Camp Director in our ward
and we just got back from this year's camp!
We had way too much fun!
We got to camp with another ward and
fell in love with them.
The girls made new friends and had a blast!
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth,
where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where
thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves do not
break through nor steal.
For where you treasure is,
there will your heart be also."
Matt. 6:19-21
We set up our tents...
...performed our skit...
...and made new friends.
We shared the "cry baby" bottle with
the girls that complained at camp.
It was pretty funny... and no more complaints!
We learned CPR...
...played "Minute to Win It" games...
...we got crafty...
...had a wild water fight...
...and relaxed by the fire.
Here I am attempting to build a fire.
The Dutch Oven Diva.
Flag Ceremony.
Saying Goodbye.
Thanks to the Hiram Ward!!
We had a great time!
We love you.
You are ALL Gems!

Happy Father's Day!

My Dad with the girls at my sister's wedding.
Dan with his Dad and Grandfather at the airport today.
We had the best weekend.
We got to spend time with Dan's Dad
and Grandfather.
They flew into town to ordain Dan
to the office of a High Priest since he is now
a member of our ward's bishopric
as the second counselor.
We got to go to Niagara Falls with them
yesterday-- it was amazing!
More pictures to come.
How blessed we are to have these
stalwart men in our lives.

The Month of May

Dan finished his first year of dental school!
Way to go Danny!
The month of May flew by! Wow!
After Dan finished finals we got down to business.
We celebrated Mother's Day with a
lovely stroll around campus.
We refinished our kitchen table.
We celebrated Matt's graduation from dental school.
Dan's parents and some family were in town.
We had way too much fun!
We ate at so many great restaurants,
visited church history sites,
ate Amish food,
went to museums,
and toured the school.
Sweet Carter was blessed the same day as graduation.
We hosted the graduation dinner at our place...
...visited all kinds of fun places in Cleveland...
...made several trips to Kirtland to see sites,
and rehearsed for This Is Kirtland.
The boys went to the Father & Sons Camp-Out.
We helped Matt & Taylor load up their moving truck
and spent some time playing games
and enjoying their company before the big move.
Dan played his first game in a city softball league.
I got my certificate in the mail!
We went to a minor league baseball game
with the Jensens.
We toured the Lakeview Cemetery.
We also celebrated Memorial Day with a BBQ.
And we squeezed in a date.
Whew! I wish I could post more pictures
and share all the fun!
It was so nice to have family in town.
We loved spending every minute with them.
We are now on to another month full
of crazy, busy, fun!
